Design and Build
The 65U6N is slim at 2.5 inches deep without the stand, with thin bezels on three sides. Build quality is plastic throughout, appropriate for this price tier. The stand requires about 52 inches of surface width.
The four HDMI ports sit on the rear panel, with one HDMI 2.1 eARC port. Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet are both available.
Picture Performance
The Mini-LED full-array local dimming is the core reason to choose this over a comparably priced edge-lit TV. Hisense reports 240 dimming zones and peak HDR brightness around 1,000 nits. The set delivers approximately 600 nits SDR and 900-1,000 nits HDR peak.
The native 120Hz panel with ~3.2ms response time keeps fast-motion content sharp. Input lag at 4K/60Hz measures ~11.5ms. HDR handling via Dolby Vision IQ dynamically adjusts to room lighting.
What the Spec Sheet Does Not Tell You
VA panels have inherently narrow viewing angles. On the 65U6N, color and contrast begin degrading noticeably beyond 25-30 degrees off-center. Six of 15 reviewers flagged this directly.
A second complaint: Mini-LED blooming. Halos appear around bright objects against dark stadium backgrounds. Neither limitation appears in marketing materials.
